Widow’s fury at DPD chiefs
THE widow of a DPD courier who died after being fined £150 for attending a medical appointment has slammed the firm over the tragedy.
Diabetic Don Lane, 53, skipped further appointments with kidney specialists after being fined in July, and died last month.
Widow Ruth, 55, said he felt he must go on working despite vomiting blood.
Ruth of Christchurch, Dorset added: “DPD were totally unsympathetic.”
DPD was “profoundly sorry” it “got it wrong”.
