Miss my Top 40 little mix tapes
Making mix tapes has topped a poll of things we miss from the past. I couldn’t agree more. There was an art form young folk can’t begin to understand about taping a song off the Top 40 and hitting stop just before Richard Skinner started talking. Then squeezing the track and band name in tiny handwriting between the lines on the cassette card. But still, I’d happily leave all that to history in return for never having to spend 40 minutes detangling a spewing tape with a biro.
