Becks call to end malaria
DAVID Beckham has called on world leaders to stamp out malaria.
The former England skipper appears in a video about the killer disease.
He says: “We can be the generation that ends it for good, malaria must die so millions can live.”
In 2016, the disease, carried by mosquitoes, killed 445,000 people.
But the World Health Organisation said progress in malaria control has “stalled” due to lack of funding for medicines.
