Deeney facing FA’s full fource

WATFORD fear Troy Deeney could cop another four-match ban – which would mean him missing 11 games out of 20 through suspension.

Deeney was snapped making a single-digit gesture after opening the scoring against Chelsea on Monday night. And in a post-match interview, the Watford captain said: “We have had a lot of transfer talk and speculation. That was a case of letting everyone know I am still here.”

The FA could now hit him with a two-match ban – plus two more games on top because of his red card against Huddersfield, and retrospective suspension for gouging Stoke’s Joe Allen before Christmas.
