LINGARD BLASTED FOR TWEETING AT SERVICE

-

JESSE LINGARD was criticised after he appeared to post a tweet about playing FIFA 18 - just three minutes after a minute’s silence held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Munich disaster.

Lingard was present, along with Manchester United team-mates, for the service at Old Trafford and observed the silence at 3.04pm to mark the time the plane carrying the squad crashed, killing 23 people.

But at 3.07pm Lingard replied to a question on Twitter about the computer game.

The tweet, which was later deleted, read: “Your [sic] not ready for me.”

Fans took to social media to slam the England star – but he has apologised and said a member of his media team sent the message.
