Black Cats fans set for protest
FED-UP Sunderland fans are planning to protest against stay-away owner Ellis Short for failing to back the club.
They want to speed up the unpopular billionaire’s departure.
A poll by influential fan website Roker Report revealed 2,500 were set to demonstrate against the US financier, who is rarely seen at games.
A spokesman said: “Fans have had enough of the American and the only thing they can now do is air their frustrations en masse. Fans don’t hold boss Chris Coleman responsible for it, this is aimed at the club’s top figures.”
