Cons’ benefit revamp blast

SCATHING secret reviews of flagship Tory benefit reforms are detailed for the first time today.

Official reports, released thanks to a Labour motion, reveal Universal Credit was “on the brink of complete failure” by 2013.

None of the 10 memos, issued from 2012-17, gave UC a clean bill of health.

Labour MP Debbie Abrahams said: “Universal Credit isn’t fit for purpose.”
