COUPLES are ditching second cars and nights out and taking packed lunches to work to save for their first home or start a family.

Eight in 10 save £3,150 a year on average, a poll by VoucherCodesPro found.

Spokesman George Charles said: “Saving for a house isn’t cheap. But [it] doesn’t mean you can no longer have fun.”
