Dismembered leg found washed up on beach
A WALKER made a gruesome discovery when they discovered a human leg washed up on a beach.
The dismembered limb was found washed ashore on Felinheli beach, near Bangor, North Wales, early yesterday. North Wales Police were alerted at 6.43am and are now faced with the task of identifying the owner of the leg and informing their family.
A police spokesman said: “Owing to the condition and size of the remains it is not possible to provide any further detail at this time.
“Local officers are now making enquiries to establish identity and inform next of kin. At this time, the death is being treated as unexplained.”
