Dad caught doing 167mph driving son’s racer 1st time
A DAD got behind the wheel of his son’s sports car for the first time – and was clocked doing 167mph.
Mohammed Riaz, 50, who took over in the Nissan GT-R when son Abjar felt ill, is one of the fastest speeders caught in the UK, a court heard.
PC Sean Graham, who clocked Riaz on the dual carriageway A417 near Cirencester, Glos, said a vehicle leaving the road at that speed could have led to a “catastrophic outcome”. Riaz, of Catford, South East London, who admitted dangerous driving, was given four months’ suspended jail, ordered to do 150 hours’ work and was banned for 18 months. A probation officer told Cheltenham magistrates Riaz was “devastated” adding: “He recognises he could have killed himself or other road users. He says it will never happen again.”
