Cech hope for derby

- BY ADRIAN KAJUMBA

PETR CECH is optimistic that he will be fit for the north London derby.

The Arsenal goalkeeper went off in the 70th minute of the 5-1 win over Everton with a calf problem.

He was replaced by David Ospina, who has also been ready to stand in at Wembley.

But Cech’s injury is not as serious as first thought and he thinks he will recover in time.

Defender Nacho Monreal, who came off at half-time against Everton, due to illness, is also set to return to training and declare himself fit for the lunchtime showdown.
