Blitz on sex harassment in Parliament
SEX pest MPs face being booted out of Parliament.
The move follows a poll of staff in which one in five said they experienced or saw sexual harassment or inappropriate behaviour over the past year.
Up to 39% of workers reported non-sexual harassment or bullying.
It is recommended guilty MPs and peers write a letter of apology and have training. Some could be suspended or face a public vote on their future.
A cross-party group, chaired by Commons Leader Andrea Leadsom, also wants a behaviour code, complaints system and confidential helplines.
Shadow Commons leader Valerie Vaz called it “a first step to putting safeguards in place”.
