WHAT IS IT? Aphantasia

Literally, this means without fantasy. It’s a condition in which people are unable to visualise mental images meaning they have a blind mind’s eye. If someone asks you to close your eyes and imagine a beach with white sand, clear blue water and palm trees, how clearly can you see that image? If all you can visualise is darkness, you’re in the 2% of the population who has aphantasia. It’s probably carried in a gene so if you do have it, ask around your family to see if anybody else does.
