Digital & disc Monday Based on the Hasbro toy, the fourth generation of the My Little Pony animated TV show has now run to seven series, and this uninspired musical spin-off is looking weary from the hard miles travelled.

Forgettable songs and an achingly bright colour scheme accompany Princess Twilight and her friends as they trot off to recruit the queen of the Hippogriffs. They need her help to free their land from the evil rule of the Storm King.

Avid young fans of the toys may enjoy it, but everyone else should say neigh as it’s mostly a load of old pony.
