Fast Mark is real hot shot

MARK WILLIAMS looked a sure thing in the Snooker Shoot Out 2018.

The Welshman, who won a 20th ranking title in Germany last weekend, beat Li Hang 44-0 in the quickfire single-frame event yesterday, with a shot-clock dropping to 10 seconds.

The rejuvenated 42-year-old – up to No.7 in the world – is through to the second round in Watford.

He said: “This is the event that one of my boys insists I enter and play in every year.

“Anything can happen here in a 10-minute frame!”
