FA giving Spot of help

THE FA will step in to help Rochdale stage their FA Cup tie with Spurs after Mauricio Pochettino branded the club’s pitch “a risk”.

Tottenham travel to Spotland on February 18 in the fifth round after Dale boss Keith Hill (left) saw his League Two minnows beat Millwall on a surface resembling a sandpit.

Rochdale have been contacted by the FA who will subsidise some pitch-conditioning support, bringing in an outside contractor.
