A GIRL of 11 has died after being stabbed in her grandmother’s home.

Police said a male relative of 51 was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.

They are not looking for anyone else over the incident. Supt Harvi Khatkar said: “This is an extremely distressing incident and our sympathies go out to everyone affected.” A neighbour in Wolverhampton who was woken in the early hours of yesterday by screaming said: “It was a horrific howling sound. “She was yelling, ‘Help me, help me, he has stabbed my granddaughter.’ It was chilling.” Shopkeeper Natu Patel, 67, said: “I’d see Jasmine every day, she was like a daughter to me. I can’t believe it. Why her?”
