Something’s missing but I can’t put my finger on it..
REVELLER Dwayne Thompson woke after a night out missing a fingertip – but has no idea what happened.
The dad of two cannot recall anything after 10.30pm from his quiet night out with friends at a restaurant.
He woke in a ditch near an old bus depot in Leicester at 2.30am, with blood pouring from his hand.
Dwayne, 26, denies going on a bender and says pals have been unable to help him fill in the gaps.
He said: “We went for a meal with my girlfriend and her mates.
“We were having a nice time and I only had a couple of drinks. It was definitely nothing more than usual. How I ended up where I did is a complete mystery. “It’s like I jumped through time to the bus depot. It’s scary waking up without a piece of your finger and not knowing where it is. I need someone to tell me what I was doing.” Dwayne, a cleaner, hopes witnesses will come forward and has asked police to review CCTV footage. There are some murky photos on his mobile from the park near the bus depot, a 20-minute walk away. He added: “It’s frustrating. I’ve lost my finger and my memory, and no one has been able to help.”
