RONNIE O’SULLIVAN has opted to miss next month’s inaugural Romanian Masters.

The tournament promoters had hoped the Rocket (right) would be part of the 16-player invitational event – but O’Sullivan, 42, has hinted he could even skip the World Championship in April. Although the world No.2 is expected to play at the Crucible he looks set to ration appearances until then. The event in Bucharest has, however, attracted a high-class field, and world No.1 Mark Selby will take on Liang Wenbo in the first round after yesterday’s draw.
