WE’LL SHOW THEM WHO’S BROS

Ayew boys are Swans’ brother in arms .. and they vow to win fight for survival

ANDRE AYEW believes some brotherly love can bring the good times back to Swansea.

The 28-year-old was reunited with his sibling Jordan after a £20.5million deadline day move back to the Liberty Stadium. Both the Ghana forwards are in line to start against Burnley when City aim to make it nine games unbeaten, and Ayew reckons their relationship will keep the club moving up the table. He said: “We’ve played together before with Marseille and mostly with the national team. We are here and we hope we can do something great. “Being here is good, but the important thing is getting results for this club. “We have enjoyed playing together, we understand each other very well but this is all talk. We have done it before, we have to do it again. “I think right now he is in a period where he is confident and he can do what he does best. When you have the support of your team-mates, of the fans, the manager, it makes a difference.”

Carlos Carvalhal (below) has guided Swansea out of the drop zone, but they are still level on 24 points with Stoke and Huddersfield.

Ayew believes his team-mates can complete another great escape in the second half of the season following their stunning victories over Liverpool and Arsenal.

He added: “I think we can see the squad are fighting and doing really well.

“We got six points from two games where nobody thought we would get anything. “You need to stay focused and work harder and get more results, that is what it is going to take and let’s see where we are going to be. “We can’t start looking at the end, you have to go bit by bit. We will win some and lose some, but we have to keep fighting hard.” After a slow start in South Wales, Jordan has scored five goals in his last 10 games, including a stunning solo strike against Wolves in the FA Cup. His performances have earned him Swansea’s player of the month award and kept Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham on the bench.

And Andre reckons Swans supporters are only just beginning to see what his younger brother is capable of under Carvalhal.

He said: “I don’t think he has improved because he has done these things before.

“I think right now he is in a period where he is confident and he can do what he does best.

“He is a very sentimental boy and he feels all those things.

“The club have given that to him, so I’m not surprised and I have always thought he was an incredible player.”
