STEVE COTTERILL admits Birmingham’s loss has been Aston Villa’s gain after missing out on signing John Terry. The derby rivals went head to head for the ex-Chelsea skipper, who decided to join Villa in the summer.

City boss Cotterill (left) said: “Bringing John in has been vital for them. His return from injury has coincided with their good form. I know we were in for John, but I’m delighted with my boys.”
