Mown down warden plea to be nicer
A TRAFFIC warden mown down by a driver he had just ticketed want people to stop abusing workers.
Allan Parvin, 43, suffers excruciating back pain since angry van driver Jason Kelly drove into him for giving him a £70 ticket.
Kelly, of Scarborough, North Yorks, was jailed for 18 months after admitting at York crown court to dangerous driving and witness intimidation.
Mr Parvin can no longer play with his six-year-old twins and is urging people to treat wardens better.
He said: “It’s horrible, kids want picking up… but I can’t do that.
“I’ve had a lot of verbal abuse, we all do. But physical abuse is above and beyond what we should have to take.” Kelly also got a 45-month driving ban.
