This new show can’t quite decide what it wants to be. On the one hand, it’s a documentary, filming kids in a camera-rigged classroom just like The Secret Life Of Five Year Olds.

The challenges, we’re told, test everything from empathy to risk taking or rule breaking.

But then it’s back to a grinning Jason Manford in the studio and it’s game-show time. Three sets of parents have to guess what their kids might do – and they often start out deluded.

Steal the sweets? No, of course my little darling would never do that. Tell a lie? Not in a million years. Cut to said child shovelling treats into their mouth as quickly as humanly possible.

This episode features all twins, which makes for some amusing dynamics. Will they award the teacher’s terrible drawing first prize to spare her feelings? Will they nab the key to her cupboard?
