FOX’S EYE ON SKY
Rupert Murdoch-owned 21st Century Fox has promised to protect Sky News for five years in an attempt to push through an £11.7billion takeover.
The firm set out a series of measures to “guarantee” the editorial independence of Sky News following concerns. It comes after the Competition and Markets Authority found last month that Fox’s deal to buy the 61% of Sky it does not already own was “not in the public interest”.
