Nou boys to see off new boys

-

THE Champions League is back and will not be won by anyone outside of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester City. I guarantee you. The issue for City and PSG is they have a glass ceiling to break.

The first time you win the biggest trophy in European football it is not just about going there and expressing yourself, but getting to quarters, semis or final and having the weight of history on you. You are trying to do something that hasn’t been done at a club before.

That pressure can frighten people. But the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid are so used to it.

I know Madrid have had a difficult season in La Liga but they have struggled before domestically and have gone on to win the Champions League.

They just have that something. If I had to stick my neck out I would still say Barcelona. People say the Nou Camp side aren’t the team they were, but if you have Lionel Messi you know in the latter stages of a game he will deliver.
