A reward for perseve-ring
A METAL detectorist discovered two halves of a 14th century gold ring in a field – over a year apart.
Paul Schorn, 69, found the first half in December 2016 near Winchester. Now complete, the ring could be worth £12,000.
Paul, of Lee-on-Solent, Hants, said: “I kept going over the field to see if I could find the rest. The farmer ploughs it regularly so the earth never really stays in the same place.
“I was amazed when I saw the second half.”
