‘Migrant reg in early days’

WORK has “barely begun” on a new registration system for EU migrants post-Brexit, it was claimed yesterday.

The Home Office has a year to design a system to register new arrivals, plus the 3.1 million EU nationals already here.

Sources said it would “almost certainly” not be ready by the deadline.

But the PM’s spokesman said: “We are confident it will be finished in time.”
