GLORY GLORY TRAORE

-

ARMAND TRAORE marked his Cardiff debut with a goal as Neil Warnock’s Bluebirds stayed in the hunt for an automatic promotion spot.

Left-back Traore (above) and fellow defender Sean Morrison both netted before the break to put the home side in control against a limited Bolton.

Wanderers never looked like mounting a comeback and yet another defeat leaves them hovering just above the drop zone.

Cardiff lost Jamie Ward to an early injury but it didn’t stop them dominating the first half.

The hosts wasted a series of glorious chances before Callum Paterson’s long throw fell to Traore, who capitalised with a fine left-footed effort.

Morrison then made it 2-0, heading home from close range at the second attempt to leave keeper Ben Alnwick helpless.

In the second half Bruno Manga crashed a header off the bar and former Bluebird Adam le Fondre flashed a Bolton shot wide, but Cardiff never looked in any serious danger.

Marko Grujic and Junior Hoilett went close to making it three for Cardiff.
