Diver Tom and his hubby are thrilled
OLYMPIC diver Tom Daley and his actor husband Dustin Lance Black are expecting their first child.
The couple, who wed last year, said yesterday they were “thrilled” as they celebrated St Valentine’s Day by revealing the baby’s first scan.
Each shared similar shots on social media and Tom, 23, wrote simply: “Happy Valentine’s Day.”
A spokesman said: “Tom and Dustin are thrilled to share that they are expecting their first child in 2018.”
The pair wed last May at Bovey Castle near Plymouth, Devon.
Dustin, 43, had been based in Los Angeles while Tom has been in London – although it is believed they are now living together in a warehouse conversion in Southwark, South London.
Tom said last year: “I’ve always wanted kids, and he does, too. I don’t know how many – an army of kids, a whole diving team.”
The couple gave no more details about the baby or any involvement of a surrogate or adoption agreements.
Tom is due to compete in the 10m platform and 3m synchronised events for the England team during April’s Commonwealth Games in Australia.
