A COUPLE who met on Twitter became the first to share 280-character vows at the site’s head office.
Simon Savidge, 35, and Chris Burton, 46, bonded online over a mutual love of cheese and beards.
The couple from Wirral, Merseyside, met in 2012 and were asked to have the first ceremony at the HQ after getting engaged last year. Their official wedding is going ahead next month.
Using the new 280 characters-per-message count, upped last year from 140, Simon’s vow was: “I promise to love you and support you and to retweet you, to take care of you, to cherish you and to like your badly lit selfies.”
Dara Nasr, Twitter’s UK managing director, said: “We wish Simon and Chris all the best for the future.”
