Teen sobs at tot ‘murder’

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy wept as he appeared in court charged with the murder of his six-week-old son.

The baby had suffered “head injuries and a bite to the nose”, the court heard.

Police were called to a mother-and-child residential unit early on Sunday.

The case was adjourned before he appears today at Winchester crown court.

As the defendant, who cannot be named, was led from Southampton magistrates court, he said to his mum: “Love you.”
