UKIP rocked by ‘£200k legal bill’
UKIP is facing financial disaster after it was ordered to pay an estimated £200,000 legal bill.
The High Court yesterday said the hard-up party must fund part of the costs of Labour MPs who won a libel case against UKIP MEP Jane Collins.
It ruled last year that Ms Collins libelled Rotherham MPs Kevin Barron, John Healey and Sarah Champion by wrongly saying they knew about local child sex abuse and “deliberately chose not to intervene”.
