Online availability of STI testing doubles the uptake

Half the people offered testing for sexually transmitted infections such as gonorrhoea through the internet took up the offer – double the 27% of people offered testing at clinics. The study, which took place in London, wasn’t designed to see if internet services increased diagnosis and treatment of infection, but they may be a useful addition to mainstream clinics.
