BLUES EXIT IS BOOST FOR BATS

- BY ADRIAN KAJUMBA

MICHY BATSHUAYI said he is now playing with confidence at Borussia Dortmund after admitting his role at Chelsea was “difficult” to deal with.

The Belgium striker, 24, (above) was allowed to join the German club on loan after struggling to convince Blues boss Antonio Conte.

And Batshuayi, who has scored five times in just three games for Dortmund, said: “I did not have a good time at Chelsea, but I’m doing well here with my colleagues and the supporters, and I was well received.

“I’m now playing with a lot of confidence. Sitting on the bench, scoring a goal and then going back to the bench was quite difficult to deal with for an attacker.

“As a young player, you need a lot of playing time to evolve. It’s perfect here and I trust everyone.”
