166 liar pervs sent back to jail
UP to 166 freed sex offenders have been returned to prison after they took lie detector tests.
Changes in breathing, heart rate and blood pressure are monitored while they are asked questions.
In one case, an offender had been released on condition that he didn’t use the internet. His test results indicated he was lying and when police raided his home they found indecent images of children taken from the internet.
The Centre for Crime Prevention said: “A frightening number of sex offenders continue to be released while still a threat. It is very good if technology is helping.”
