COMEDY creation Frank Spencer was not exactly a style icon in his beige trench coat and black beret.

But, Strictly Come Dancing star Louise Redknapp was among the celebrities who seemed to be giving a nod to hapless Frank during London Fashion Week.

Rocker Liam Gallagher – out with girlfriend Debbie Gwyther – and his son, Gene, 16, also wore beige trench coats at the event over the weekend.

Catwalk models went one step further by strutting their stuff in what looked like exact replicas of Frank’s clobber in 1970s sitcom Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em, which starred Michael Crawford.
