£9.2k to keep Di’s bike in UK
A MYSTERY buyer blew £9,200 on Princess Diana’s bicycle to keep it in Britain.
A businessman won a bidding war for the blue Raleigh Traveller which had a guide price of £1,500.
The bike, which Diana owned before she wed Prince Charles, will join his private collection.
It was sold in Thame, Oxon. Farnon and Lake auctioneer Duncan Lang said the buyer, from Herfordshire, “felt very strongly” that the bicycle should stay in England.
