Sid: Dot’s bid to get me in Square again
ACTOR Sid Owen says his former EastEnders co-star June Brown is trying to get him into the soap again.
Sid, last seen as Ricky Butcher in 2012, said: “She was trying to convince me to come back. She was like, ‘I’m going to have a word and get you back’.”
He added: “You do miss the routine. And that camaraderie. But I don’t miss the hard work side.”
Tamzin Outhwaite has returned to Albert Square and Jessie Wallace is also making her comeback.
Sid, 46, has mostly lived in France since he left the show but worked with June, 91, who plays Dot Cotton, on ITV’s 100 Years Younger in 21 Days.
He has known the actress for 30 years and told OK! Magazine: “We’ve always got on well.”
