Now Tough Mudder is next goal..
MAX Horwood, 25, was diagnosed with leukaemia at 10.
This year he is training for a Tough Mudder challenge and planning European holidays.
He was found to have chronic myeloid leukaemia in May 2003.
Max had chemotherapy and a relatively new targeted treatment that stemmed from Cancer Research UK’s underpinning research called Glivec.
He said: “It was a scary time. I was out of school for a year.”
Max, from Fleet, Hants, now works for CRUK, raising awareness and funds to help develop new treatments.
He said: “I know first-hand how much research is helping to change people’s lives.”
