Corbyn hits out over spy claims
* WHAT ABOUT EVERY OTHER COUNTRY OUR FOREIGN SECRETARY HAS INSULTED OR UPSET?
JEREMY Corbyn last night blasted right-wing media for reporting “ridiculous” claims he was once a communist spy.
The Labour leader spoke out after earlier dismissing allegations he passed information to a Czech agent during the 1980s as “nonsense”. In a video released on social media, he said: “They’ve found a former Czechoslovakian spy whose claims are increasingly wild and entirely false.”
He continued: “Publishing ridiculous smears that have been refuted by Czech officials shows just how worried media bosses are by the prospect of a Labour government.”
It came after he threatened to sue Tory MP Ben Bradley over a tweet claiming he “sold British secrets to Communist spies”.
