55p a minute to phone MP

A TORY MP’s constituents have paid up to 55p a minute to call him for help.

An 0845 phone number was listed for Sir Greg Knight since at least 2011.

Mobile phone firms charge customers to use it.

He was called “foolish” by the Fair Telecoms Campaign for utilising the number. It has now been axed from his website and replaced by a local number.

The MP for East Yorkshire said: “I hadn’t realised it was only displaying the one number.”
