Smith faces sub in his super semi
CALLUM SMITH will fight Dutchman Nieky Holzken in the World Boxing Super Series semi-final on Saturday after Juergen Braehmer withdrew through illness.
The winner of the contest in Nuremberg is due to fight George Groves for the Ali Trophy in London in June, providing Groves has recovered from a dislocated shoulder.
The 34-year-old Holzken, who has won each of his 13 professional fights, was a WBSS reserve and had already been preparing to face Russia’s Dmitrii Chudinov.
