HE’S LAUGHING STOCK

-

TWO errors from keeper David Stockdale helped Bees to a thumping victory on a night when his Blues team-mate Harlee Dean ran a gauntlet of hate.

Former Brentford captain Dean has not been forgiven for the way he left for St Andrew’s in August. And his relegation-threatened new side were torn apart on his return, with Stockdale partly to blame.

The ex-Brighton keeper allowed Ollie Watkins’ tame 31st-minute effort to beat him before Florian Jozefzoon (left) capitalised on another mistake by Jason Lowe four minutes before the break.

Neal Maupay tapped in on 51 minutes before Stockdale dropped the ball at the feet of Watkins, who squared for Maupay to fire home via a deflection off Marc Roberts. Watkins’ late header made it five.
