Stars join our fight for Max’s Law
ACE Andy Cole CELEBRITIES, surgeons, record breakers and campaigners are urging MPs to back our donor law campaign to help save lives.
At a Mirror reception at Parliament tonight they will lobby MPs on the eve of Geoffrey Robinson’s Private Members’ Bill to introduce a new “opt-out” scheme for England and Northern Ireland.
Among them are football legend Andy Cole and Kaylee DavidsonOlley, who was just five months old when she became the youngest to get a donor heart. Kaylee, now 30, of Chester-leStreet, Co Durham, said: “It’s vital we have this change in the law.”

COURAGE Max Johnson heart surgeon, said: “Opt-out saves lives.” And Emma Johnson, mum of Max who waited seven months for a new heart, will tell why Max’s Law, named in his honour, is so vital. Max’s dad Paul, 44, of Winsford, Cheshire, urged MPs to “give a gift to the people, to do the right thing to save lives”.
