Save the Children apologises over former chief

ACCUSED Justin Forsyth SAVE the Children has apologised over the behaviour of its former chief executive Justin Forsyth.

It admitted complaints against him were not properly handled.

He is accused of sexually harassing three female staff members involving inappropri­ate texts and comments.

Concerns raised in 2011 and 2015 resulted in “unreserved apologies” to the women but the charity said processes were not followed fully.

Forsyth, now a deputy executive DEDICATED Minnie Driver attends Oxfam event in Los Angeles director at Unicef, said he had apologised for “unsuitable and thoughtles­s conversati­ons”.

Brendan Cox, husband of murdered MP Jo, also admitted “mistakes” while working at Save the Children. Cox, accused of sexual harassment of two women, apologised for his actions, saying they were not malicious.

The UK and the EU are reviewing their funding of Oxfam after reported abuse by staff in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.
