‘I LOVE BELLEW’

HAYE SETS SIGHTS ON AJ... IF HE BEATS BELLEW IN REMATCH HAYE HANGS ON TO HIS WORLD TITLE DREAM

- BY MARTIN DOMIN

DAVID HAYE believes he can be to Anthony Joshua what Muhammad Ali was to George Foreman.

DAVID HAYE declared his love for Tony Bellew as he claimed he is a changed man ahead of their rematch.

The former two-weight world champion lost to his rival (below) last March when he ruptured his Achilles and was eventually stopped.

He pulled out of their December rematch after suffering a bicep injury.

The pair previously traded verbal blows as Haye was fined for his threatening language.

But as they came face to face on Wednesday, the Londoner insisted he has changed his approach.

He said: “I love you Tony Bellew! When I’ve fought angry in my career I’ve lost and when I’ve been calm I’ve performed better, so that’s what I’m doing this time.”
