Stevie Geed up after youth win
STEVEN GERRARD was celebrating as he got the better of old rival Nicky Butt when their youth teams clashed yesterday.
Now coach of Liverpool Under-19s, Gerrard could not hide his delight at the way his side “dominated” Butt’s Manchester United youngsters in the UEFA Youth Cup.
Goals from Ben Woodburn and Rafael Camacho earned Liverpool a 2-0 win and a quarter-final trip to Manchester City, who beat Inter Milan on penalties on Tuesday.
Gerrard said: “All in all we have dominated them, and we have some very young players in the team so that was the pleasing thing for me,”
