RECKLESS ON A BIKE

-

After reading that Jeremy Vine wants road layout changes to stop “angry dangerous drivers” injuring cyclists (Mirror, Feb 20), I would ask him, what about protecting pedestrians from cyclists?

I work in the City and I persistently see cyclists swerving round corners near pedestrians without putting an arm out to indicate they are turning.

Even worse, I’ve seen them riding in between pedestrians crossing the road when the green man is displayed. As for cycling on pavements, do not get me started! D Richens South East London I have really enjoyed the Winter Olympics on the BBC and it is a real pleasure not to have it interrupted by adverts. But why do we have to swap channels so often? Can’t the Games be on just one channel? Jenny Cleaver Barwell, Leics What’s wrong with the people who are ringing up the police because their local KFC is closed (Mirror, Feb 21)? I don’t eat KFC, but unfortunately they’ve shut some of their shops due to delivery issues. What on earth has that got to do with the police? Go to a butcher if you want chicken. Mel Ingleton Coulsdon, Surrey I’m giving up on Dancing on Ice after Sunday’s dire show. There were 10 advert breaks during the programme which could have been done in 30 minutes without ads. This new series is really disappointing. Kate Barker, Norfolk
