Bellamy’s a U-in for top spot at Oxford

OXFORD UNITED want Craig Bellamy to become their new boss.

Ex-Wales star Bellamy – part of Neil Warnock’s staff at Cardiff City – has held talks with the League One strugglers.

The former Liverpool striker, 38, (above) could be in charge for Saturday’s match away to Northampton.

He was interviewed for the Wales job last month but lost out to Ryan Giggs.

The Us are 15th in the table, five points clear of the drop zone.
