SHEENS’ KIDS CAN SHINE

HULL KR head coach Tim Sheens has backed young half-backs Chris Atkin and Matty Marsh to cope in the absence of Danny McGuire.

McGuire, 35, is out with a rib injury, which could see the young pair team up if Marsh (right) shakes off a dead leg. Sheens said: “The two young blokes are our future, given their age and experience.

“They’ve played with each other in the friendlies, so they understand each other.”

Salford include half-back Robert Lui, who was the subject of a controversial Rovers enquiry before the start of the season.
